Centre
The Chandrasevana Centre has been established
to work through the arts and culture to support the communities
of the Hikkaduwa Area as they recover from the Tsunami
The Centre has 4 areas of activity providing workshops
to the local community in traditional dance performance
and IT workshop hosting regular educational film nights
and occasional seminars lectures performances and exhibitions
in the venue and sometimes elsewhere inviting international
artists in all media to live and work in the local community
creates events across the island to promote pece and understanding
between people form different cultures
Chandrasevana promotes respect for all cultures irrespective
of race or creed.
- Chandrasevana is funded by private donation public funds
and sponsorship. Chandrasevana Creation Centre is an initiative
of the Hikkaduwa Area Relief Fund
